ABOUT US

Founded in October 1959 by Fr. Raphael C. McCarthy, SJ, Sacred Heart Jesuit Retreat House is an oasis of peace and beauty on 280 acres in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, dedicated to retreats and spiritual direction in the tradition of St. Ignatius Loyola, welcoming those who seek to deepen their relationship with God.

We offer our retreats in the Ignatian tradition—that is to say retreatants agree to respect the peacefulness and tranquility we offer through

silence. Our weekend retreats and days of prayer offer reflections led by Jesuits. In the Eucharist and confession, encounter the love and mercy of Christ. In spiritual direction, learn how God is at work in your life and how the Lord is leading you.

Retreats are led by Jesuits and trained directors. We also offer group weekend retreats, group days of prayer and spiritual direction for those seeking personal growth in faith, prayer and in the ability to respond whole-heartedly to God. We work closely with Catholic parishes, schools and the three Colorado dioceses to foster spiritual growth for those working in ministry. We especially welcome students, teachers, parents, and alumni of Jesuit schools from around the United States and beyond.
